Little Waltham Primary School

Collective Worship

At Little Waltham CEVA Primary School, Collective Worship is at the heart of our life together. It is invitational, inclusive and inspirational, rooted in the teachings of Jesus and the Christian story, while respecting those of all faiths and none.

Our worship helps us to live out our school vision: ‘For the body is not one member, but many’ (1 Corinthians 12:14). Through our core values of courage, compassion, forgiveness and perseverance, we encourage all to flourish.

Worship provides opportunities to:
- Celebrate the love of God shown through Jesus Christ.
- Reflect on Christian values and big life questions.
- Experience stillness, prayer, music and creativity.
- Mark the seasons of the Church year and world events.
- Encourage pupil leadership and participation.

We develop spirituality using the ‘Windows, Mirrors and Doors’ reflection approach:
- Windows: looking out at the beauty and challenges of the world with awe and curiosity.
- Mirrors: looking inward to reflect on our own thoughts, feelings and responses.
- Doors: considering how we might live differently and act with love, justice and service.

Parents and visitors are warmly welcomed to join our worship. Together, we seek to nurture a community where every child and adult is valued and inspired to ‘live life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10).
